"You are not on any marked road." "I know that Lola."

Today is a day that is just... grrrrrrrrrr.

I woke up this morning to find that some dumbass stole my Flames car flag. Then I get a phone call from the Children's Hospital regarding my complaint.

Let me back track here to explain my complaint....
On March 24, Presleigh was scheduled for an MRI at Children's. She had to fast after 3am and then could have Pedialyte until 6am and we had to be there for 8 for a 9am appointment. At 930 the anesthesiologist refused to do the MRI because of Presleigh's gestational age. So I demanded a head ultrasound. They refused to do it that day, but I went to her doctor and had them order it. They called me on March 29th to cancel the head u/s for the next day. An appointment that I knew nothing about. On the requisition form, the receptionist at her doctor's office wrote that they were on holidays and to contact me directly to book the appointment. That call obviously didn't happen. When they called to rebook, they offered me an appointment on April 18. I stated there was urgency as this was to have been done long before then as per doctor's orders and wanting to ensure that the spot in her head wasn't growing. They said they'd call me back. They had a radiologist read the previous U/Ss and they figured we could wait, would the 20th be ok? So we went on the 20th... no appointment - it was never changed from the 18th.
So I complained.
Apparently the anesthesiologist had no right to cancel and the head of radiology at Children's is pissed... I'm pissed... so there has been an incident report filed and I guess some investigation into this.

Then I get some court documents from Devin's lawyer. Can't say much other than Devin lied... again.

The highlight of my day was painting pottery and then getting a thank you card from someone I didn't expect for something I did ages ago.

Tomorrow I start my job as an Enumerator for Stats Canada for the 2006 Census. Ought to be interesting.

Anyways, Flames are winning 5-2 right now and its bedtime as soon as this very late game is over.

Ottawa

What a whirlwind... I think my head is spinning still and we landed 2 hrs ago. Mom drove me crazy and Dee had an attitude the size of the house... at the end of it all, it was all ok, except mom and her insane need to control and micromanage everything.

On Monday we scattered Granny's ashes along with all the rose petals from every rose she had ever gotten over her lifetime. Rachel and I also scattered wild flower seeds in hopes they may grow. It was pretty emotional.

The morbid part of the whole trip was sleeping in Granny's bed, in her room, with her urn & ashes sitting on the dresser less than 10 feet away. However, she was with me the entire time. She was at Loblaw's yesterday when Dee and I went to get a Black Forest Cake for Granny's birthday and kept telling me to buy big... she was at the airport with me today yelling at me to not break the china because if I was going to break it, I should have given it to George to auction off. On Saturday night she was in her room with Rachel and I and she kept interupting and causing me to lose my train of thought and then kept poking me to get off her bed. She was like a little kid wanting attention. And she also was with us at the scattering but she kept going in between people like a dog would and I wasn't really clear what it was she was trying to get across or if she was just excited to have everyone around. She must have left with the others because she didn't come for lunch with us.

We have a crazy week schedule... we have a bunch of drop offs coming here tomorrow morning and then we have our last (we hope) RSV needle at 215 and then we have an information session for Rach's band thingie at 7pm. Then on Thursday we have her head ultrasound at 10 and then Devin is coming here to pay some support. Then Friday we go to court.

I got the job with the Census and I start training next Wed and Thurs, and that ought to ease some of the financial burden since I obviously am going to be waiting awhile for the catchup from Devin.

Since its in theory 1115pm to my brain and I've had a pounding headache since 130pm and Tylenol isn't touching it, I'm calling it and gonna crawl off and veg.
I have 3 suitcases and a monstrous Rubbermaid tub to unpack too as my living room looks like a baggage claim room at the airport.

Here comes Peter Cottontail...

I'm about halfway organized to begin to pack. I keep thinking about how much stuff I have to take with us and I begin to contemplate hiring a forklift. I don't remember taking this much with me when Rach and I flew when she was about the same age...

We're leaving Thurs morning and we'll be back on Tuesday night. I get to spend several hours with my father... and his first ex wife... Pishe help me.

Roit, I'm only up at this lunacy of an hr to have fed Presleigh, and now I'm headed back to bed before its time again to get up.

Blargh

Well 2 month needles are not fun. 3 needles, 2 in the left leg, 1 in the right... now we've got a fever and we're miserable... and so is mommy. We've screamed all day *sigh* Poor little kid...

Positive though, she's 7 lbs 8 oz :-)

We're two months old!

Wheeeeeee two months old!

She's growing and changing every day, holy cow. I think she must be having a huge growth spurt the past two days... two nights in a row, she's hungry an 1 1/2 hrs after she last ate and then sleeps about 6 1/2 - 7 hrs - just the wrong hours.. so we're working on moving those around...

On that note, I'm off to la la land and hopefully what ever is wrong with blogger will sort itself out.
