Blog-a-thon answers...

As promised, here are the questions from Mossy:

1. You're having the day from hell at work. You know it's almost time to go home, but Dr. Who shows up at your cube in the Tardis. Do you go off with him to kick some Dalek ass or say, "no, its okay...I was going home anyway"?

Sadly, I'd go kick some Dalek ass.. I thrive on deadlines and pressure. I prefer to kick ass than sit around and crochet that I do now.

2. What's the worst thing you have seen one person do to another? (Family situations not included)

The first time I read this question, this is the very thing that came to mind, and even on a re read, its still the same thing....
About 13 yrs ago, when I first moved to Calgary, I was living with psychowoman, Stefani - she and I were in Safeway grocery shopping and this woman had her small child in the cart front seat and the child was misbehaving. The woman turned back from the shelves and grabbed her child by the scruff of the neck, slapped her and then shoved her into the seat again. Apalled, I said loudly "Hit her again, she's not dead yet." Embarrassed, the woman walked away.

3. Tell me about a book that really affected you, and why?

A very recent read actually - Don't Sweat The Small Stuff, and It is all small stuff by Richard Carlson - Some amazing advice about coping and how to deal with stress and to make life possible.

4. What's the best thing about blogging?

A couple of things - first, I get to vent and if you don't want to hear it, move on.
Second, just like every other outlet on the internet, I have made some valuable friendships.

5. If someone asked your best friend what your most annoying trait or habit was, what would that be?

I smoke too much and I try to "fix" too much.

Now for T's questions...

1. Is there someone in your past that you wish you could talk to one more time, what would you say and who would it be?

There's a few people - my grandma - I'd just sit and talk with her... she was hospitalized when I was 12 and I never saw her again and she passed away when I was 23.
I'd also like a chat with Tim - despite the 'chats' he and I have had since he passed, just one more time..

2. If you could have wings for 24 hours or live for one thousand years. Which would you pick and why?

I'd take the wings - there's somewhere I need to be.

3. Would you save yourself or another person from death, understand that only one of you gets to live, who would you save?

We all know I'm self sacrificing - we all know I'd save the other person.

4. You have to give up your hearing or your sight. Which one do you give up and why?

I'd give up my hearing. I'm already partially deaf in my right ear, and I've spent my life dealing with my Granny who is profoundly deaf, it would be relatively easy for me to adjust.

5. If you could relive 24 hours what 24 hours would it be? It can be any day from your past or from the worlds past. Nothing would change but you and only you would carry the memories of the day. Would you be able to carry the burden?

Nope, so I won't even try to figure out if I would want to. If I was to relive something, I'd want to make sure that those that are in my life remember it all too.

And now my brain hurts - thats two out of three done - Dtrini is next...

Oh, and for my rant of the day... I'm considering finding a way to see if Vito wants to come take care of some things with me with the people at my financial institution. Seems that they have decided that my zero balance savings account is a great place to take some money and start paying someone else's bills with it - and put me into overdraft.... *grrrrrrrr*
